  1. Hello hopeful38. You are not doing anything wrong. You are the first person to post in your private forum. Hopefully, someone will join in your conversation soon. Best of luck!

Hello, I'm hoping you can tell me what I'm doing wrong. I registered for the private forum, but the only thread I see is the one I posted.
  3. These are all great questions:
Our search function is not working for private forums and may displayed "locked" forums that do not exist. If you have been granted access to your private forum you will see a small blue sub-forum just below Private Forum by Donor Number/Sibling Register. That is the only way to access the private forum for your donor.

Before you send a Private Message there is a check box just below the composition area that saves it to your sent folder. If you do not check the box it will not be saved.

You can receive notifications to responses to your email address if you have your settings set appropriately. Otherwise you will get the notification once you log into the forums.

Hope you can help..searched donor 1445 and 7 forums popped up, it is only letting me into 2 of them. I thought I was registered to gain access to all things donor 1445. Also I cannot tell if any of the messages I am sending are going through. When I open sent messages it is telling me the folder is empty. Finally, Are we suppose to get some sort of notification when a thread we started has been responded to or if someone sends us a message. Thanks

About Fairfax Moderator
Biography:
Fairfax Cryobank was originally organized in 1986 to provide patients at the Genetics & IVF Institute with anonymous frozen donor semen that had a higher standard of genetic and infectious donor screening and sperm quality than could be obtained elsewhere. Physicians that visited the Institute and observed the results of the frozen donor specimens began to request the use of Fairfax Cryobank donor specimens in their own infertility practices. Although it was not the original intent to provide specimens outside the Institute, due to continued requests by physicians and patients Fairfax Cryobank now provides donor semen to physicians and university medical centers in all 50 states and many foreign countries. Upon request from patients, physicians, and numerous medical facilities, the Cryobank also began providing semen freezing and storage for patients desiring to have their specimens cryopreserved for future use.

From the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) fact sheet on Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

“What risks do women have with PCOS?

Lack of ovulation in women with PCOS results in continuous exposure of their uterine lining (endometrium) to estrogen. This may cause excessive thickening of the uterine lining and possible abnormal bleeding. The bombardment of estrogen without ovulation may lead to uterine cancer or pre-cancer. Metabolic syndrome is more common in women with

Massachusetts Women’s Conference: We were there!

Blog written by Suzanne Seitz, MS Genetic Counselor

I was able to represent the Cryobank at this important meeting of ambitious women. There were over 8000 in attendance with many interesting presentations that ranged from mind body awareness to hearing from Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth to the worldly advice of Arianna Huffington. I was able to discuss our sperm bank with many women considering using donor sperm to have a family. I had one wonderful visitor who thanked us for her

The American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) is a great resource to those with fertility struggles. They have publications designed to help you learn more about your Reproductive Health.

Here is an interesting article on the ASRM website about Male Factor Infertility:
When a couple has trouble having a baby, there’s about a 50-50 chance that the man has a problem contributing to the pregnancy. He might:
1. Produce too few sperm to fertilize an egg
